The Hart Of The Community

The Alby Pattison Award

By Ellie Nixon | 11th January 2023

A group of schools across Teesside have launched an annual award in memory of Hart Biologicals founder, Alby Pattison.

Ad Astra Academy Trust unveiled the Alby Pattison Award, as Alby was a former trustee of the Ad Astra Academy Trust. The Alby Pattison award will be awarded every year to a school within the Trust that has excelled in the subjects of arts, sport, or both.

Andy Brown OBE, Chief Executive Officer of Ad Astra Academy Trust, said: “Alby made a significant contribution to the business, education and sporting community across Teesside and the annual award is a great way to remember him. The arts and sport are two things that Alby cared about deeply so it is very fitting that the award reflects these key areas of the curriculum.”

Recently, the Alby Pattison Award was presented to Ayresome Primary School. It was given during the Trust’s Christmas Concert at Billingham Synthonia Social Club for their fantastic contribution to Music last year.

The award is such a wonderful way to honour Alby and all the work that he did for the trust.
