Founded in 2002 by Albert Pattison, Hart Biologicals originally started in a small incubator unit based in Hartlepool with just 3 staff. Hart Biologicals purchased the rights to manufacture and distribute Manchester Capillary Reagent from Professor Leon Poller and Manchester University, which is still the first choice of reagent to monitor Warfarin therapy.
Albert saw the need to not only increase the company's staffing levels due to the interest and demand for products, but to also ensure that the best facilities were available. So, in August 2009 Hart Biologicals moved to purpose built premises on the outskirts of Hartlepool. Within the move, a new fully automated bespoke freeze dryer was purchased from Frozen In Time, which allows our scientists to develop and control the development and production process with utmost precision.
Hart Biologicals are now involved in all areas of Coagulation and Platelet Aggregation and have built an extensive global network of distributors from South America to Asia.
Clients choose Hart Biologicals because we recognise that each customer has a different need, a different question, a different problem, and we address these on an individual basis. We do not sell ‘off-the-shelf’ solutions. We work with, rather than for, our customers to provide a highly personal level of support, help and advice. This flexibility means we can adapt to customers’ needs as their projects or needs progress.
