Warehouse Operative

Hart Biologicals is engaged in the research, development, manufacture, sale and marketing of a range of "in-vitro" diagnostic products used in the detection, prevention, and monitoring of a number of medical conditions related to haemostasis and platelet function. The company provides innovative and quality medical products to meet the needs of an ever-changing healthcare field. Hart Biologicals employs 45 people and is located in the Northeast of England in Hartlepool.

Following a recent restructure within the Operations team to support business growth and improve efficiencies, an opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join the team. This role plays an important part in ensuring the smooth and compliant dispatch of products to our customers.

The position involves a hands-on approach within a warehouse environment, including regular manual handling duties such as lifting, moving and loading goods safely in line with Health & Safety requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To pack and ship finished kits to customers under conditions as agreed in customer orders or Hart Bio SOP’s.
  • To arrange correct and safe passage of goods to customers using couriers.
  • To liaise with shipping partners, freight forwarders etc. on the collection and correct shipment of goods when couriers cannot be used.
  • Handle and rectify any reported shipping issues, before collection, in transit or after delivery to the customer.
  • Loading / unloading of delivery or collection vehicles.
  • To receive and inspect goods in as SOP.
  • To put away stock after receipt as SOP.
  • Keep the warehouse, storage bins and racks, storage fridges and freezers clean and well maintained.
  • To always maintain correct storage conditions for all materials.
  • Follow relevant procedures and work instructions.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments and customs / shipping training.
  • Work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adhere and maintain Health and Safety / COSHH requirements.
  • Adhere and adapt to quality and regulatory updates.
  • Liaise regularly with other departments to ensure the company maintains its high-quality standards.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by the management team.
  • Be astute and detailed when completing shipping tasks.
  • Document all activity involving stock and finished product in a clear and concise manner in line with Hart Biologicals eQMS.
  • Develop relationships with external shipping partners.
  • Report and discuss any issues encountered or identified with the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all equipment maintenance schedules are in date and calibrated as necessary, in collaboration with engineering & maintenance teams.
  • Observe confidentiality at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive environment within the operations/production team.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Preferable GCSE passes in core subjects (Maths / English / Science) or NVQ level 3 or above.
  • A good level of overall knowledge of software systems.
  • A good level of understanding of shipping procedures.
  • High-level of attention to detail.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Preferably experience in a similar role.

Undertake customs / shipping procedure external training courses as required.

The role is based across both office and warehouse environments. The warehouse environment is subject to seasonal temperature variations. Warehouse doors may remain open for operational purposes, which can affect internal temperatures. Heating systems are in place during colder periods to maintain a reasonable working temperature.

Event & Marketing Specialist

Hart Biologicals employs 46 people and is located in Hartlepool, Northeast of England.

We are seeking an Event & Marketing Specialist (m/f/d) to support and guide us throughout the IMPACT customer journey. In this role, you will focus on developing touchpoints to raise customer awareness of our products, aligned with company objectives. This would include organising conference participation, manage literature, and maintain contacts.

You will also ensure that marketing materials for IMPACT and the Hart portfolio are regularly reviewed and updated.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organise exhibitions at conferences to raise visibility and customer awareness for the IMPACT.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and promotional events to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Organise events (e.g. Launch events, Distributor-, Expert and User meetings) in different countries to increase the exchange according to IMPACT on high level.
  • Research and record potential IMPACT customers globally, segmenting them by discipline and type (KOL, prospect) to map, track and optimize sales efforts.
  • Develop and maintain the IMPACT CRM light system for effective tracking of IMPACT KOLs, customer interactions and contacts.
  • Maintain and update IMPACT marketing materials, including stand design, brochures, and advertising for digital and print.
  • Manage literature in a database to be able to use literature to underline sales arguments.
  • Produce a monthly progress report detailing event planning, new literature
  • Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of practical experience in Event Management, or in the diagnostics/med tech sector, preferably in haemostasis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Results-driven professional with a strong background in Event Management and Marketing
  • Knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
